The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is the UK’s regulator for workplace health and safety, ensuring industries comply with laws to protect people and the environment. It oversees biocides, such as disinfectants and insecticides, under the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR), ensuring they are safe and effective before being marketed.
For pesticides, HSE regulates plant protection products, ensuring they are properly tested, labeled, and used safely. Through assessments, guidance, and collaboration, HSE works to ensure chemicals are used responsibly and without harm.
I restructured the biocides and pesticides application process to require applicants to enter key credentials and upload documentation before selecting their desired certification. This change streamlines the process by reducing repetitive tasks, ensuring that previously provided information isn’t reuploaded unnecessarily. It expedites application review, improves efficiency, and creates a smoother experience for users.
